Background

Mike began his law career with Stamper Rubens, P.S. in 1995. With a focus on litigation, Mike’s practice emphasizes all aspects of employment law, including trade secret violations, discrimination claims, and violations of non-compete or non-solicitation agreements, as well as various types of commercial, business, construction and health care litigation. Mike is a forceful, yet careful and conscientious litigator, who strives to vigorously pursue his clients’ interests while balancing the need for a timely and cost-conscious resolution to the case.

Mike is admitted to practice before all Washington state courts, the U. S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mike is very active in the Spokane community as General Counsel for the Spokane Home Builders Association, General Counsel for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest and Past President of Spokane Rotary Club #21 (current member, chair of the President's Advisory Council and chair of the Human Resources Committee). He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Spokane Jazz Society, the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, and Board Member and President Elect (2019) of the Inland Northwest Society of Human Resource Managers (INSHRM).
